I had dinner with my January bride the other day and we had a lot to celebrate and toast to! Most people would think it insane to be going through a strenuous 2 year college course to become an ultra sound tech and plan your wedding in that same time, but not Sarah! This woman is amazing and has an amazing, supportive fiancé to top it all off and I can’t wait to see their day come together and watch them become husband and wife!
As Sarah and I sat at dinner, we toasted to her first day of freedom (she graduated from her program and passed her boards and it was the first day she didn’t have to go to class or clinicals or study) and being 1 month out from her big day! We ran through timelines, decors details, rehearsal dinner schedules, seating arrangements, things to still be done, attendees gifts, and honeymoon dreams, I couldn’t help but smile and know think back to when she first saw pictures of my first wedding I planned and said, “if I ever get married, I’m totally hiring you.”
You see, Sarah was never that girl that dreamed of her wedding since she was little, but something just took over her after she got engaged and she started to enjoy the process. Sure, there were some stressful moments, but in the end, her dream became bigger than she thought it could and it was all becoming a reality and she couldn’t be happier. Although she left with a laundry list of things I asked of her, and small details we needed answers to, I know I’m feeling really good about this being seamless.
I’m looking forward to Sarah and Shane’s big day, a month from today and I can’t wait to share all the details that I have been involved with along the way! It’s all the little details that make the big reality so memorable and a moment in their lives they will never forget!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
