Warning, I’m going to be all over the place with this post! There are so many things going on in my mind as I sit here, on NYE, still in my PJ’s (yes I’m lame, but the idea of doing my hair and putting on anything binding makes me want to curl up in bed!)
First, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year! The last day of the year, generally has people reflecting on 2016 and setting goals for the new year, which is no different here! 2016 has been amazing, it was the year Adeline Rose Events was no longer just a dream, but a business that came to life and started to hold its own and become something I thought only happened to other people! It’s so crazy to me that at the beginning of the year I would hear myself talk about this idea to friends and family, and those same people are the ones who reached out to me, just yesterday, as I did my last event for the year, to lend a helping hand, wish me luck, and send good vibes my way! I knew it took a village to do this, but I never imagined how large my village would be and how many amazing people I would welcome into my life. Creating this company has opened my eyes, my world and I have so much to be thankful for.
I truly wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without my fiancé! When people say that you should marry someone who challenges you to be the best you that you can be, I had no idea what that meant until I met him! He has dreamed with me, encouraged me, had my back, given some great advise, been my sounding board, my shoulder to cry on, my IT support, he literally went to pick up 200 jars of jelly during his Christmas vacation while he was sick…I just don’t know how people do it without a supportive spouse (or soon to be). He is my rock and one of the many reasons I want this company to continue to flourish and grow!
My parents, and my brother…I don’t even know where to start with them, except they are nothing short of what parents and a sibling should be. They are hands on, quick to ask how things are going, allow me to have my freak out moments and then turn around and bring me back to reality! They give up their weekends to help set up and ask for nothing in return! They make me laugh at myself and may want to see all of this succeed more than even I do!
My friends, who apparently have all seen this in me well before I did! The way that they believe in me and support me, and tell everyone about my services blows my mind. Through my friends, I have been introduced to a ton of new people, who I have grown to now include in this circle. I have met a mentor in Stems and Sprigs, and although we have never met face to face, she is an inspiration!
Lastly, I’m so thankful for those who, thus far have entrusted in me with one of the biggest days of their lives. The families and people I have met in this short 6 months have been nothing short of the best people out there. They have all had open hearts, open minds, and the gift of making my job a dream come true!
Looking forward to 2017 and some goals I have set for myself personally and of course, this company. I want to continue to learn and build, put myself out there and network some more, book more events and continue to add to this village that is Adeline Rose Events! Can’t wait to blog more with all the 2017 projects, and 2018 ones that have already been booked!
Cheers to 2017! May everyone have a fun and safe New Year’s Eve and may you not have a hangover tomorrow
P.S. The pic above should be how everyone is ringing in 2017, cute sparkle shoes off while you’re still dancing the night away! Excited to share the Loria/Corbat wedding from last night, I know the suspense is killing you, check back in soon!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
